Turns out the answer is yes, but sort of. But The Digital Bits has been digging into whether a physical 4K release of the films is planned anytime soon. That’s set for DVD, Blu-ray and video on demand release (we don’t have the UK release details as of yet). Speculation has ramped up with the news that the studio is releasing a new cut of the third movie in the series this winter, that goes by the name of Mario Puzo’s The Godfather, Coda: The Death Of Michael Corleone. Rumours have been swirling for some time now that Paramount Pictures was working on a 4K release for Francis Ford Coppola’s trilogy of Godfather movies. Paramount will be releasing all three Godfather films on the 4K Blu-ray format – but the releases look set to be over a year away at least.
